Los Angeles, Calif. (PRWeb) February 12, 2007 -- Adventure Girl, Stefanie Michaels will be participating in the 35th Iditarod dog sled race, which takes place in Anchorage, Alaska on March 3. Beating out more than 600 bidders, Michaels won the chance to compete in the first leg of the race on day one. Teaming up with former model turned musher, Zoya de Nure, Michaels will learn the ins and outs of what it takes to be a competitor. She will also be teaming up and utilizing the exposure of this event to raise monies for cancer research. She will be riding and raising money in honor of the 4 time Iditarod winner, Susan Butcher, who tragically lost her battle with Leukemia last year.
